It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilfred “Wimpy” Guigue at the Kingston Health Science Centre on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 86. Wilfred will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Linda (Vinkle) of 35 years. He will be greatly missed by many generations of nieces, nephews and countless other family members. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Dorothy Guigue and siblings Ileen, Vera, Bill, Ronnie, Joan, Honey and David. Wimpy, a longtime employee of Alcan will be remembered by many for his jokes and impersonations. He was proud of his native Algonquin heritage, being the great-great grandson of Francis and Mary Sharbot. Visitation will be held at Goodfellow’s Funeral Home, Parham on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment in Oconto Cemetery. All Covid 19 protocols in place. Memorial donations made to the Sharbot Obaadjiwan First nation’s Foodbank would be appreciated.
