Brian David Cain of Ompah, passed away suddenly after a brief stay at the Perth Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the age of 68. Brian is predeceased by his son Jason Brian, parents David & Joan Cain, sister Leslie Ann, granddaughter Rhiannon and his beloved dogs, Duke, Judge, Rusty and Elmo. Brian will be missed by his daughter Jody Legue, son in law Brent and grandsons, Nathaniel and Merrick all of Ompah; his sister Karen McWatty (Curtis Wilson) of Arnprior, niece Chancey Code (Peter Campbell & children Matthew, Cameron & Isabella) of Smiths Falls, nephew Patrick McWatty (Sebrina Peskett) of Pakenham and former wife Pat Shirley (Randy) of Ompah. Brian was a talented carpenter who shared his passion for woodwork with many people, leaving his wood art all over the Ottawa Valley and beyond. Everything from custom kitchens to hand crafted furniture, wood basements, small renovations to homes. Brian made many great, lifelong friends throughout his work. Brian was also a long time contractor for Laurysen Kitchens, and proudly installed many kitchens over the years. Brian enjoyed travelling, some of his favorite adventures included Disney World with his Grandson Nate, Florida & Quebec City with friend Carolyn Cairns and British Columbia & Europe with friend Ann Christensen. Brian lived life on his terms until the end, cheers to his will and determination.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place with no visitation or service. Brian has requested that his friends and family have a dinner party in his honor, some great food, wine & company. We will arrange this when the time is appropriate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your local Humane Society, animal rescue or, in true Brian fashion, help someone in need, however you can. Hug them today, they may be gone tomorrow. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.goodfellowsfuneralhome.com
