Barbara Anne (nee Smith) Hollywood

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Barbara Anne Hollywood (née Smith). Peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on June 7, 2021 with her husband by her side at the age of 82 years.

Beloved wife of George (Jerry) Hollywood for 62 years. Barb is survived by her sons Bradley (Nancy) and David (Julie). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Cassidy, Kayla (Jayden), Chloe and Brooke.

Barb and Jerry were married on August 22, 1959 in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Brooke, Ontario. On this windy day, pink and white gladioli decorated the church as they read their vows. In their 60th year of marriage, they gathered once again in the presence of their family to renew their vows.

In their lifetime together, Barb and Jerry spent 6 years in Belleville, 31 years in Amherstview, 16 years in the Pine Arbour Estates in Port Elmsley, and many happy hours at their cottage on St. George’s Lake. The past 5 years have been spent in their condo at the Gallipeau Centre in Smiths Falls.

From 1956 to 1995, teaching was Barb’s passion. Upon her retirement, her four grandchildren became the light of her life.

Due to the restrictions, a private family service will take place at a later date.
