I will never forget when she taught me how to clean a mudcat. She offered to teach me how to kill a turkey by I am a little glad I missed that part. Hunting season at her house will always be a treasured memory. What a tough, funny and lovely lady -Sherry

We are so sorry to hear of Reta’s passing. As fairly new neighbours to Reta and her family at Echo Lake, we so enjoyed hearing her stories about her life at Echo Lake. She was quite someone to admire for her courage and determination to overcome her struggles throughout her lifetime. Reta was one of our first visitors when we moved into our cottage just down the road from her and we soon learned she was a lady of strength and thoughtfulness to everyone and left behind a beautiful welcoming gift of a neon star night light which we will surely treasure. It was wonderful to watch her from a distance hauling in her mudcats! We’ll miss you Reta. Our condolences to all of the family. Grant and Sandy Edwards
