Going "home" as a kid meant waking up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee, some old country music on the radio, the peaceful tranquility of Long Lake in the morning and a "Good Morning Shell" when she saw me awake. As I got old enough to be able to join her for that morning cup of coffee around the kitchen table I can remember conversations that were just for her and I. I can still remember every vintage decoration on what I thought was the most beautiful Christmas Tree. Being curled up asleep beside my cousins on the floor as we waited for Santa to come, I will never get to "Go Home" ever again but I will carry my memories of her forever. I am grateful to the family members that cared and took care of her. Comforted knowing she is once again with Grandpa, Brenda, Mom and all those who passed before her. RIP Granny. Love Shell. xo

Sending heartfelt condolences to the family and entire community of people who were touched in some way by the laughter and memeories of Eleanor. Whether we were visiting at Long Lake or she was visiting us in O'Reilly I can remember highly anticipating her company as a child...she was a fearless woman who left a lasting impression on me as I grew older. I will remember her always. Angela & Danny Skulj

Our condolences to all family and friends of Eleanor. The earth has lost such a beautiful and fun person. What a joy it was to be around Eleanor. She could joke with the best of them. In most cases, as a kid, it’s boring to be around people older than you... not in the case for Eleanor. She knew how to make it so fun for me when we were up for a visit. Eleanor and Lorne always made our visits so accommodating. Their house and property basically became ours. We are so grateful for them. Deeply saddened by her passing. One of the greatest blessings we have is her incredible stories and her memories forever. I will never forget her love for life and I will keep her spirit alive in me by living my life fulfilled and make people laugh in her memory. Miss you already Eleanor. She’s at peace!! Love to all
